Pedal-assist e-bikes for an easier ride around the island. We offer three e-bike options, subject to availability.
Available in Small compact folding, Medium and Large sizes to suit different riders.
Childrens Bicycles
Children's bicycles for younger riders, available in 20-inch and 24-inch sizes.
Baby Seats
Bring your little one along for the ride with our WeeRide Deluxe and Front Mount baby bike seat, designed to let young children enjoy the cycling experience safely and comfortably.
These baby seats mount to adult bicycles and places your child in front of the rider, allowing you to keep them close and easily visible while riding.
Other baby seats will be available when the needs are assessed.

Have a question about hiring a bike or exploring Russell Island? We've answered some of the questions we're asked most often.
Yes. Queensland law requires e-bike riders to be at least 16 years old and hold a valid driver licence, subject to limited exemptions. Island Cycle Hire will check that riders meet the requirements before an e-bike is hired
We offer a selection of quality bikes for adults and children, along with e-bikes and a range of accessories. Our fleet is designed to suit different riders and help you enjoy exploring Russell Island.
Booking in advance is recommended, especially on weekends, public holidays and during busy periods. This helps ensure the bike you want is available when you arrive. Walk-in hires may be available, subject to bike availability.
Bike hire includes the bike and a bike lock. An approved helmet is available for an additional fee. You're welcome to bring and use your own approved helmet at no extra charge. Depending on the bike and hire package, lights and other equipment may also be available. We'll make sure your bike is ready to ride before you set off..
You can ride throughout Russell Island on roads, bicycle paths, shared paths and permitted footpaths, subject to Queensland road rules and any local signs or restrictions. Our bicycles are designed for normal road and light even dirt path use and are not suitable for off-road riding or rough terrain, including muddy dirt tracks or uneven surfaces in parks. Take care around traffic, give way to pedestrians on shared paths and footpaths, and follow all bicycle signage. We recommend riding at a safe speed and choosing routes that suit your experience and the conditions.
Russell Island weather can change quickly, so we keep an eye on conditions and safety. If weather conditions make a hire unsafe or impractical, Island Cycle Hire may cancel or modify the hire and will work with you in accordance with our Terms & Conditions. If you choose not to ride because of ordinary weather conditions, our normal cancellation policy applies.
